Horton Awards - Tickets on Sale Now!
The Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles is proud to announce the 19th Annual Lester Horton Awards: "A Celebration of Community." This special celebration honors the diverse and talented dance community in the greater Los Angeles area, and will feature food, drinks, a roaring fire, a live DJ, video installation, and gorgeous impromptu dance entertainment.
Awards will be given out for Outstanding Achievements in Performance, Choreography, Costume Design, Music, Set Design, Lighting Design, World Dance, and more. Special Awards will be given out this year to Carol Zee and Everybody Dance! (Gabriella Axelrad Foundation) for Service to Our Dance Community; Jamie Nichols for Furthering the Visibility of Dance; and Ron Brown for Excellence in Teaching.
The event will be held from 5:00pm-7:00pm on Sunday May 16th at RecCen Studio ( 1161 Logan Street , Los Angeles , CA 90026 ). Tickets are on sale now at http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/97945 for $15.00 for DRC Members, $20 for Non-Members. Tickets for groups of 5 or more are $12.00 each.
