HAPPY NEW YEAR AS DANCE ENTERS A CHALLENING DECADE - #1 item for 2010
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL DRC MEMBERS AND THE VERY BEST FOR 2010. THE COMING YEAR WILL OFFER GREATER CHALLENGES TO BE MET BY THE CREATIVE GENIUS OF THE DANCE COMMUNITY AND THE DRC BOARD TO MOVE FORWARD IN EXPANDING TALENTS TO MEET THE FINANCIAL CONSTRAINED ENVIRONMENT OF 2010. AN EXAMPLE IS THE FORTHCOMING IMMEDIATE OPPORTUNITY -
The first key item in 2010 is to provide support for AB700 (Creative Industries & Community Revitalization Act) that would provide 20% of sales tax revenue (Art, art supplies) to the Calif Arts Council. Contact immediately your State Assembly person to urge the bill out of the Appropiations Committee in January.
