fiscal receivership
Fiscal Receivership, a fundamental service and member benefit provided by the Dance Resource Center of Los Angeles (DRC), may be one of the most overlooked gems of our organization.
Fiscal Receivership provides non-profit status and funding management for new and emerging companies. We supply the following services:
- Provide use of our nonprofit status for applications for dance grants and funding, or provide tax deductions for donors.
- Deposit and maintain records of all funds given to, and paid out by, the DRC.
- Pay all bills submitted to the DRC for payment, up to the limit of deposited funds. DRC payments are made within 30 days of receipt of bills.
- Provide annual report of funds received and paid.
Fiscal recipients must adhere to the following:
- Provide timely written notice (minimum of 30 days) to the DRC of intent to apply for funding or to solicit individual contributions.
- Ensure that all checks for deposit by the DRC are made out to the DRC.
- Agree to pay the DRC a fee of 10% of all deposited funds. This fee will be automatically deducted at the time of deposit.
- Credit The Dance Resource Center of Greater Los Angeles as a fiscal receiver on all advertising, publicity, and press materials.
The fiscal receivership program benefits everyone in our dance community and we encourage you to utilize all services provided by the DRC.
