RhetOracle presents XX

RhetOracle Dance Company presents a night of contemporary jazz works that explore women and femininity in contemporary culture. The night of 9 dances, featuring choreography by artistic director and Lester Horton nominee Nate Hodges, Bri Blonigan, Cynthia Howell, Rochelle Mapes, Courtney Ozovek, and Bryana Verner, will tackle the concepts of body image, gender versatility, workplace discrimination, and homosexuality, taking you on a raw journey into the lives of women's struggles as well as celebrating their allure, mystique, and beauty. The night will also have a special encore of "Flowers That Pick Themselves", a dance about self-mutilation that debuted to an overwhelming audience reaction at Jamie Nichols' SOLD OUT 2010 Celebrate Dance.
