Lee & Wang Dance present "Gale Winds & Turiya"

"Gale Winds & Turiya" will have its Los Angeles premiere at Rosalie & Alva's Performance Gallery as part of Lee & Wang Dance's fall national tour which includes performances in San Francisco and New York. The piece follows the journey of women struggling to reconcile contradictory dialogue within, perceived limitations of one's desires, and abandonment of composure to indulge in fantasy. As the lines between waking and sleeping and reality and fantasy begin to blur, emotional landscapes collide in a collage of dreamscapes and memories.

Performers include Elaine Wang and Lenora Lee (Artistic Directors), dancers Mina Nishimura and Marina Fukushima, taiko artist Kenny Endo, and flautist/taiko artist Kaoru Watanabe. (www.LeeWangDance.org)
