VIRTUALLY Yours, Charlotte Adams & Jennifer Kayle

Highways Performance Space, Artistic Director Leo Garcia present:
VIRTUALLY Yours,
Highways Performance Space
June 11 & 12, 2010
8:30PM

In a new collaborative project, choreographers Charlotte Adams and Jennifer Kayle and seven performers mix sophisticated dancing with internet/video technology to collapse the distance, straddle the border, and become VIRTUALLY Yours. In the performance of real-time border-crossings, (both embodied and e-bodied) they invite you to experience the personal, political and poetic acts of leaping across to make contact. Adams and Kayle will also introduce themselves through signature works, featuring spontaneous music by John Manning and Erin Vang, installation art by Misael Amos Reyes, and original sound scores by Michael Chorney, Carlos Cuellar, and Christopher Shortway. The piece premieres at The Centro Leon in Santiago, Dominican Republic, tours to Iowa City, IA and closes in Los Angeles at Highways Performance Space.
