"Dances for Humans and Intelligent Pets"

Los Angeles based contemporary choreographers Rebekah Davidson, Liz Hoefner,
Maggie Lee, and Carol McDowell present: “Dances for Humans and Intelligent Pets”
at Diavolo Dance Space, 616 Moulton Street LA, CA 90031, Friday and Saturday June 12-13 @ 8pm and Sunday June 14 @ 6pm. Tickets are available at the Door or online at: www.brownpapertickets.com ($20/general admission & $15/students, seniors and DRC Members)
Dances for Humans and Intelligent Pets” brings together the work of four Los Angeles based modern dance choreographers from opposite ends of the city, to one centralized location. Rebekah Davidson (MFA CSULB), Liz Hoefner (MFA CalArts), Maggie Lee (MFA CalArts), and Carol McDowell (MFA UCLA) present their work together at the Diavolo Dance Space in an endeavor to display the multiplicity of work being created by female modern dance artists from divergent ends of this sprawling city, binding together an artistic community that surpasses geographic commutes.

Guest Artists include:
Erin Butkivich, Maud Comboul, Dayna Freitas, Carmela Hermann, Ok Su Jackson, Cynthia Lee, Ilaan Egeland Mazzini, Donica Schmidt, Erik Speth, Gloria Tinajero, Lisa Wahlander,Lailye Weidman and Wenchu Yang with lighting design by Kuo-Lung Kai and original music by Yorgos Adamis and d. Sabela Grimes
