Eleven Missing Days

Meg Wolfe/Show Box presents two weeks of experimental dance from New York and Los Angeles artists, at Unknown Theater in Hollywood as part of the 2008 Dance Series. Featuring the premiere of Eleven Missing Days, a collaborative performance project by Wolfe, also on the program will be short works by guest artists:
Faye Driscoll (NYC) with Nikki Zialcita, and Arianne Hoffmann (L.A.), with Kai Hazelwood, July 3-6th; casebolt & smith (L.A.) and Sam Kim (NYC), July 10th-13th.

Doomed Love. Death. A Femme Fatale. Eleven Missing Days uses the stylized, low-budget world of film noir as a starting point in a contemporary exploration of the theme of disappearance. It is intended as a dissection and chronicle of the creative process itself: simultaneously imagining, figuring out, and being a part of the 'mystery,' and rearranging the story when new evidence shows up.

Collaborators on the project include performers Jeremy Hahn, Rachel Lopez, Nancy Sandercock, and Rae Shao-Lan Blum; writer Mikki del Monico; and composer/sound artist Aaron Drake.
