Elizabeth Kaye Lecture

The Colburn Dance Council proudly presents "Art and Romance: The Ballet Partnership." Ms. Kaye will illuminate what makes a great ballet partnership and how partnerships affect the audience and the participants themselves. The talk will use video clips from classical and neoclassical ballets to illuminate partnerships that set countless audiences gasping in wonder and delight: Nureyev and Fonteyn, Erik Bruhn and Carla Fracci, Richard Cragun and Marcia Haydee, Anthony Dowell and Antoinette Sibley, Julio Bocca and Alessandra Ferri. Ultimately, it will illustrate why ballet partnerships present us with a view of love and romance as they ought to be: unfettered, all-giving, impassioned.
