Also referred to as Lambazouk, Zouk-Lambada and sometimes simply Zouk, This dance started in Brazil as a fresh new approach to the old Lambada dance of the 80’s . Dancers found a new expression to the sexy steps of Lambada with the sensual and unique Zouk music that comes from the Caribbeans , Cape Verde and even Angola !
Zouk, which means party in creole can be either very slow or fast paced. Its sensual, upbeat and carefree qualities flow smoothly and flawlessly with the Lambada steps that involve sexy hip and head movements . The music and the dance are almost magnetic and often sweep both the dancers and spectators to another world ….
Zouk Lambada came all the way from Bahia, Brazil and and is now filling dance-floors across the world!
